Puerto Rican Café con Leche with Quesitos

Ingredients
- For the Café con Leche:
- 2 cups whole milk 🥛
- 1 cup freshly brewed espresso or strong coffee ☕
- 2 tbsp sugar (adjust to taste) 🍯
- 0.5 tsp cinnamon (optional) 🌿
- For the Quesitos:
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed 🥐
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened 🧀
- 3 tbsp powdered sugar 🍬
- 0.5 tsp vanilla extract 🌿
- 1 egg, beaten 🥚
- 1 tbsp honey or simple syrup 🍯
Instructions

- 2Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- 3Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- 42️⃣ Make the Quesitos:
- 5In a bowl, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
- 6Cut the puff pastry into 4 rectangles.
- 7Spoon a bit of the filling onto the center of each piece and fold them over, sealing the edges.
- 8Brush with beaten egg for a golden finish.
- 9Bake for 12-15 minutes, until puffed and golden.
- 10Brush with honey or simple syrup while warm.

- 12In a saucepan, warm the milk over low heat (do not boil).
- 13Brew a strong coffee or espresso.
- 14Add sugar and cinnamon to the milk, stirring until dissolved.
