Churrasco Steak with Cilantro Lime Rice

Ingredients
- For the Churrasco Steak:
- 1 ½ lbs skirt steak (churrasco cut) 🥩
- 2 tbsp olive oil 🫒
- 2 tbsp lime juice 🍋
- 3 cloves garlic, minced 🧄
- 1 tsp salt 🧂
- 0.5 tsp black pepper ⚫
- 1 tsp ground cumin ✨
- 1 tsp smoked paprika 🌶️
- 0.5 tsp oregano 🌿
- For the Cilantro Lime Rice:
- 1 cup long-grain white rice 🍚
- 2 cups chicken or vegetable broth 🍲
- 1 tbsp butter 🧈
- 2 cloves garlic, minced 🧄
- Juice of 1 lime 🍋
- 0.5 cup fresh cilantro, chopped 🌿
- 0.5 tsp salt 🧂
- For Serving:
- Extra lime wedges 🍋
- 0.5 cup chimichurri sauce (optional) 🌿✨
Instructions
- 11️⃣ Marinate the Steak
- 2In a bowl, mix olive oil, lime juice, garlic, salt, black pepper, cumin, smoked paprika, and oregano. Rub this mixture all over the skirt steak and let it marinate for at least 15 minutes (or overnight for deeper flavor). 🥩✨

- 4In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant. Stir in rice, broth, and salt, then bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes until fluffy. Remove from heat and stir in lime juice and fresh cilantro. 🍚🍋
