Guava and Strawberry Croissants

Ingredients

  • For the Croissants:
  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 0.5 cup guava paste, sliced thin 🍈
  • 0.5 cup fresh strawberries, sliced 🍓
  • 2 tbsp cream cheese, softened 🧀 (optional)
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash) 🥚
  • For Garnish:
  • 1 tbsp powdered sugar (for dusting)
  • 1 tbsp honey (for drizzling) 🍯

Instructions

  1. 11️⃣ Prepare the Puff Pastry
  2. 2Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  3. 3Roll out puff pastry on a floured surface and cut into triangles for croissants.
  4. 42️⃣ Fill the Croissants
  5. 5Spread a small amount of cream cheese (if using) on each triangle.
  6. 6Place a slice of guava paste and a few strawberry slices at the base of each triangle.
  7. 7Gently roll the dough from the base to the tip to form croissant shapes.
  8. 83️⃣ Bake Until Golden
  9. 9Brush each croissant with beaten egg and sprinkle with sugar.
  10. 10Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and puffed.

  12. 12Let cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar and drizzle with honey.
