Grilled Shrimp Tacos with Cilantro Lime Crema

Ingredients

  • For the Grilled Shrimp:
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled & deveined 🍤
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 0.5 tsp garlic powder 🧄
  • 0.5 tsp cumin
  • 0.5 tsp salt & black pepper 🧂
  • 0.5 tsp chili powder 🌶️
  • 1 tbsp lime juice 🍋
  • For the Cilantro Lime Crema:
  • 0.5 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt 🥣
  • 0.25 cup fresh cilantro, chopped 🌿
  • 1 tbsp lime juice 🍋
  • 0.5 tsp garlic powder 🧄
  • 0.25 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • For Assembly:
  • 8 small corn or flour tortillas 🌮
  • 0.5 cup shredded cabbage 🥬
  • 0.5 red onion, thinly sliced 🧅
  • 0.5 cup crumbled queso fresco (optional) 🧀
  • 1 jalapeño, sliced (optional for extra heat) 🔥
  • Lime wedges for serving 🍋

Instructions

  1. 11️⃣ Marinate the Shrimp
  2. 2In a bowl, mix olive oil, lime juice, paprika, garlic powder, cumin, salt, pepper, and chili powder.
  3. 3Toss in the shrimp, coating well. Let marinate for 10 minutes.
  4. 42️⃣ Make the Cilantro Lime Crema
  5. 5In a blender or bowl, combine sour cream, cilantro, lime juice, garlic powder, salt, and olive oil.
  6. 6Blend or mix well until smooth. Refrigerate until ready to use.
  7. 73️⃣ Grill the Shrimp
  8. 8Heat a grill or pan over medium-high heat.
  9. 9Cook shrimp for 2 minutes per side until slightly charred and opaque. Remove from heat.

  11. 11Warm tortillas on the grill or in a dry skillet.
  12. 12Add a layer of shredded cabbage, top with grilled shrimp, red onion slices, and queso fresco.
