Mallorca French Toast with Maple Syrup

Ingredients

  • 8 slices of Mallorca bread 🍞 (or substitute with sweet brioche)
  • 3 large eggs 🥚
  • 0.75 cup whole milk 🥛
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract 🌿
  • 0.5 tsp ground cinnamon 🌰
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • Pinch of salt 🧂
  • Butter for frying 🧈
  • Maple syrup 🍁
  • Powdered sugar for dusting ❄️

Instructions

  1. 1In a wide bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla, cinnamon, sugar, and salt 🥄.
  2. 2Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat and add a pat of butter 🧈.
  3. 3Dip each slice of Mallorca bread into the egg mixture, letting it soak slightly without falling apart 💦.
