Carne Mechada with Plantain Chips
Prep: 20 minutesCook: 2.5 hours
Story
The slow simmer of beef in a rich tomato sauce filled Don Luis’ kitchen with an irresistible aroma. “Carne Mechada,” he explained, “is all about patience—giving the beef time to soak in all the flavors.” With each fork-tender shred, he knew this dish was a classic that would bring families together. Served with crispy plantain chips, it was the perfect balance of savory and crunchy, just like Abuela used to make. 🍽️✨ Prep & Cook Time
