Carne Mechada with Roasted Plantains

Prep: 20 minutesCook: 2 hours

Story

The scent of slow-cooked beef filled the kitchen as Don Luis carefully shredded the tender meat with a pair of forks. “Carne Mechada,” he said with a nostalgic smile, “is the kind of dish that brings families together at the table.” He paired the savory, spiced beef with sweet, caramelized roasted plantains, a perfect contrast in flavors. As the final touch, he sprinkled fresh cilantro over the dish, ready to serve a meal made with love and tradition. Prep & Cook Time
