Prep: 10 minutesCook: 18–20 minutesTotal: 30 minutes

Story

There’s a special kind of magic in the air when you wake up to the smell of sweet pastries baking in Abuela’s oven. Don Luis remembers those cool mornings in Puerto Rico, when the house was quiet except for the distant sound of roosters and the bubbling of thick hot chocolate on the stove. He would sneak into the kitchen, only to find a tray full of golden quesitos waiting to be brushed with syrup and love. Today, Don Luis teaches the little ones how to make these iconic cream cheese–filled pastries with a warm cup of rich, chocolatey comfort. It’s more than a treat — it’s a tradition that wraps you up like a hug on a rainy day. 🌧️💖 Time, Calories & Cost
