Prep: 15 minutesCook: 60 minutes
Story
Don Luis carefully pours the creamy flan mixture into the caramel-lined pan, the rich aroma of coconut, cinnamon, and rum extract filling the air. “Flan is a tradition, but this one—this one is special,” he says with a smile. Infused with the classic flavors of Puerto Rican Coquito, this flan is silky, sweet, and a taste of the holidays in every bite. 🎄🍮✨

- 1 cup granulated sugar 🍚
- 0.25 cup water 💧
- For the Flan:

- 0.25 teaspoon nutmeg 🌰
- 0.5 teaspoon rum extract (optional) 🍹
Instructions

- 74️⃣ Cool & Chill:
- 8Let the flan cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight. 🌙❄️
- 95️⃣ Serve & Enjoy:
- 10Run a knife around the edges, then invert onto a plate so the caramel flows over the top. Serve chilled! 🍮✨
