Ingredientes

  • 2 lbs flank steak 🥩
  • 2 tbsp aceite de oliva 🫒
  • 1 cebolla, sliced 🧅
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced 🫑
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced ❤️🫑
  • 4 cloves ajo, minced 🧄
  • 1 tsp ground cumin 🌿
  • 1 tsp oregano 🌿
  • 1 tsp paprika ahumada 🌶
  • 1 bay leaf 🍃
  • 1 (15 oz) can crushed tomates 🍅
  • 0.5 cup carne broth 🥣
  • 0.25 cup green olives, sliced 🫒
  • sal y pepper to taste 🧂
  • fresco cilantro para termina 🌿
  • White rice, para serving 🍚

Instrucciones

  1. 1Sear the carne: In a grande pot, calienta aceite de oliva over mediano-high. Sear the flank steak para 2–3 minutes on each side until browned. Remove y reserva.
  2. 2saltea Veggies: In the same pot, add cebollas, bell peppers, y ajo. cocina until softened (~5 mins).
  3. 3Add Spices: Stir in cumin, oregano, paprika, y bay leaf. Let bloom para 1 minute.
  4. 4Simmer: Return the carne to the pot. Add crushed tomates y carne broth. Bring to a simmer, cover, y cocina on low para 2 hours.
  5. 5Shred It: Remove the carne, shred it using two forks, y return it to the sauce. Add green olives. Simmer uncovered para another 15 minutes.
  6. 6sirve: Spoon over fluffy white rice y termina con fresco cilantro.
