  • 1 tbsp aceite de oliva 🫒
  • para the Stewed Beans:
  • 2 cups cooked pink o pinto beans 🫘
  • 0.5 cebolla, picado en cubos 🧅
  • 0.25 green bell pepper, picado en cubos 🫑
  • 1 ajo clove, minced 🧄
  • 2 tbsp sofrito
  • 0.25 tsp sazón (con achiote)
  • 1 tsp sal 🧂
  • 1 tbsp tomate sauce 🍅
  • 0.5 cup water 💧
  • 1 tbsp aceite de oliva 🫒

Instrucciones

  1. 1Prepare the carne:
  2. 2Add flank steak to a grande pot con carne broth, sliced cebollas, ajo, sal, pepper, oregano, y cumin. Bring to a boil, then reduce calienta y simmer covered para 1.5–2 hours o until tender.
  3. 3Shred It Up:
  4. 4Once cooked, remove the carne y shred con two forks. reserva the flavorful broth.
