  • Juice de 1 lima o orange 🍋🍊
  • para the Stewed Beans:
  • 1 can pink o habichuelas rojas (15 oz)
  • 1 tbsp aceite de oliva
  • 2 tbsp sofrito
  • 1 packet sazón (con achiote)
  • 1 tsp tomate paste o sauce 🍅
  • 0.5 cup picado en cubos papas (opcional)
  • 1 cup water o broth
  • sal to taste

Instrucciones

  1. 1Prep the Pernil:
  2. 2Cut deep slits into the cerdo shoulder. In a mortar o blender, mix ajo, aceite de oliva, vinegar, adobo, oregano, pepper, sal, y paprika. Rub this marinade deep into the cerdo, especially the slits. Let it marinate para at least 4 hours o overnight para deeper flavor. 🕓
