Temporada 12 - Cena / S12D03
Pernil con Stewed Beans
Historia
In Don Luis’s rustic kitchen, the smell de slow-roasted cerdo shoulder drifting through the air was more powerful than any alarm clock. It was Sunday—the sacred day de family feasts, y nothing said “home” quite like *pernil* y stewed beans. Don Luis, wearing his signature jean y leather apron, had been up since the early morning, humming along to old salsa tunes while seasoning the cerdo con ajo, oregano, y love 💃🏽🧄. He used to say, “If you’re going to cocina cerdo, let it dance con the spices before it hits the oven.” As the *pernil* roasted to golden perfection, simmering beans on the back burner filled the kitchen con aromas de sofrito, sazón, y stories. That afternoon, the table was filled con laughter, rice piled high, y everyone fighting para that perfect piece de crispy cerdo skin—because in Don Luis’s house, the cuerito was gold 🥇🐷.
