  • 1 tsp baking powder 🧪
  • 0.5 tsp adobo seasoning o sal 🧂
  • 0.25 tsp pimienta negra 🌶️
  • 0.5 tsp ajo en polvo 🧄
  • 0.25 tsp paprika 🌶️
  • 0.25 cup finamente picado cilantro o culantro 🌿
  • 0.5 cup water (adjust para batter consistency) 💧
  • Oil para frying (vegetable o canola) 🛢️

  • 2 cups shredded romaine lettuce 🥬
  • 1 cup cherry tomates, halved 🍅
  • 0.5 cucumber, thinly sliced 🥒
  • 0.25 red cebolla, sliced thin 🧅

  • 1 tbsp aceite de oliva 🫒

Instrucciones

  1. 1Prep the Cod: Rinse soaked cod, boil para 10 minutes, drain, y shred into pequeño flakes.
  2. 2Make the Batter: In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, seasonings, y herbs. Slowly add water until a pancake-like batter forms. Fold in the shredded cod.
  3. 3Fry the Bacalaitos: calienta 1 inch de oil in a pan over fuego medio. Drop spoonfuls de batter y flatten slightly. Fry until golden y crispy (about 2–3 minutes per side). Drain on paper towels.
  4. 4Assemble the Salad: Toss lettuce, tomates, cucumber, y cebolla in a bowl. Drizzle con limón juice y aceite de oliva. Season con sal y pepper.
