Ingredientes

  • 8 empanadilla discs (pre-made o homemade) 🥟
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella queso 🧀
  • 1 cup pizza sauce o marinara 🍅
  • 16 slices de pepperoni o cooked ham (opcional) 🍖
  • 1 tsp dried oregano 🌿
  • 1 tsp ajo en polvo 🧄
  • Oil para frying (vegetable o canola) 🛢
  • opcional: extra sauce para dipping 🎯

Instrucciones

  1. 1Lay out your empanadilla discs on a clean surface. If they’re frozen, let them thaw para 10 minutes.
  2. 2Spread a spoonful de pizza sauce on one half de each disc (leave room on the edges).
  3. 3Sprinkle queso on top de the sauce y add 2 slices de pepperoni o ham.
  4. 4Add a pinch de oregano y ajo en polvo to boost the flavor.
  5. 5Fold the discs over to make half-moon shapes. Press the edges con a fork to seal them tight.
  6. 6calienta oil in a pan over mediano-high calienta (about 350°F/175°C).
  7. 7Fry 2–3 empanadillas at a time until golden brown on both sides (about 2–3 minutes per side).
  8. 8Place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
  9. 9Let cool slightly before serving con a side de pizza sauce. 🍕✨
