Prep: 10 minCook: 30 minTotal: 40 min

Story

Back in the mountains of Puerto Rico, the aroma of sofrito simmering in a pot would drift from house to house like an invitation. That’s how Don Luis remembers his abuela calling everyone to the table without saying a word — just the smell of the asopao was enough. 🍃🍲 Today, in his rustic yet cozy kitchen, Don Luis recreates this classic comfort dish with the same soul. “Asopao de Gandules” is the perfect blend of tender rice, hearty pigeon peas, and rich Caribbean spices — a bowlful of love on any rainy day. 🌧️❤️ Quick Look
