Mallorcas with Butter and Cheese

Prep: 5 minCook: 10 minTotal: 15 min

Story

Don Luis remembers waking up to the scent of freshly baked *Mallorcas* at his abuela’s house in Viejo San Juan. 🌅 The morning sun would peek through the kitchen window, casting golden rays on the powdered sugar-dusted rolls lined up on a wooden tray. The sound of a sizzling griddle and a butter knife scraping across the pillowy bread meant only one thing — a Mallorca sandwich was coming his way! He always added cheese — gooey, melty, glorious cheese — between those soft sweet layers. 🧀 It was his little twist that made breakfast feel like a hug. Now, Don Luis passes down the tradition with a sparkle in his eye, wearing his jean and leather apron proudly, ready to share the magic with the next generation. 💙👨‍🍳 Time, Calories & Cost
