Peruvian Lomo Saltado
Historia
Don Luis still remembers his first time in Lima, walking through the vibrant streets where the scent de sizzling meat y soy sauce mixed con the coastal breeze. A friendly señora at a tiny street corner stall handed him a plate de Lomo Saltado that changed everything 🌆🍛. He took one bite y was instantly hooked. “Is this Chinese food? Is it Peruvian?!” he asked. She winked y said, “It’s both, mijo. That’s what makes us special.” Since then, Don Luis has made it his mission to perfect this dish, teaching each generation how to bring together cultures through food. y now, it’s your turn! 👨🍳💫
Ingredientes
- 1 lb sirloin steak, sliced into strips
- 1 red cebolla, thick slices
- 2 Roma tomates, cut into wedges
- 1 yellow chili (ají amarillo), sliced (o substitute con jalapeño 🌶️)
- 2 ajo cloves, minced
- sal y pepper to taste
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp red wine vinegar
- 2 russet papas, cut into fries
- fresco cilantro, picado (para termina)
- Cooked white rice (para serving)
- Vegetable oil para frying
Instrucciones
- 1Start con the fries! 🍟 In a deep pan o air fryer, cocina the papa fries until golden y crispy. Drain on paper towels y reserva.
- 2Sear the steak: In a hot wok o sartén, add a bit de oil y sear the steak strips quickly over high calienta until browned but still juicy. Remove y reserva.
- 3Veggie time! Add a touch more oil y saltea cebollas y ají amarillo until just softened. Then toss in ajo y tomate wedges. cocina para 2 minutes.
- 4Bring it all together: Return steak to the pan. Add soy sauce y red wine vinegar. Stir-fry everything para about 2 minutes more until the flavors dance 💃🏽.
- 5Mix in the fries at the very end so they soak up all the goodness without getting soggy.
- 6sirve hot con fluffy white rice y sprinkle con fresco cilantro 🌿.
