Ingredientes

  • para the Dough:
  • 3 ½ cups all-purpose flour 🌾
  • 1 packet (2 ¼ tsp) active dry yeast 🧫
  • 0.5 cup warm leche (110°F) 🥛
  • 0.25 cup granulated sugar 🧂
  • 0.25 tsp sal 🧂
  • 2 eggs 🥚🥚
  • 4 tbsp unsalted mantequilla, softened 🧈
  • Extra flour para kneading
  • para the guayaba mantequilla:
  • 0.5 cup guayaba paste (cut into pequeño cubes) 🍓
  • 0.5 cup unsalted mantequilla, softened 🧈
  • Pinch de sal 🧂
  • Topping:
  • Powdered sugar para dusting ❄️

Instrucciones

  1. 1Activate the yeast: In a bowl, combine warm leche y sugar. Stir in yeast y let sit para 10 minutes until foamy.
  2. 2Make the dough: Add eggs, sal, y flour gradually to the yeast mixture. Mix well, then knead in the mantequilla until smooth y elastic (about 10 minutes).
  3. 3First rise: Place dough in a greased bowl, cover con a towel, y let rise in a warm spot para 1 hour o until doubled.
  4. 4Shape the rolls: Punch down the dough, divide into 8 pieces, y roll into spirals like canela rolls. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

  6. 6Bake: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake para 18–20 minutes o until golden brown.
  7. 7Make the guayaba mantequilla: While the bread bakes, beat guayaba paste y mantequilla together con a pinch de sal until fluffy y smooth.
