When Don Luis was a little boy, his abuela would wake up early, dusting sugar over warm mallorcas y slicing thick pieces de queso blanco like it was gold. Ingredientes

  • 4 sweet mallorca rolls o soft brioche buns 🍞
  • 4 tbsp guayaba jelly o guayaba paste, softened 🍓
  • 4 thick slices queso blanco o mild white queso 🧀
  • 2 tbsp unsalted mantequilla, room temperature 🧈
  • Powdered sugar para dusting ❄️

Instrucciones

  1. 1Slice the rolls in half y lightly mantequilla the insides.
  2. 2calienta a sartén o griddle over medio-bajo. Toast the buttered sides until golden 🟤.
  3. 3Spread guayaba jelly on the bottom half de each bun. Don’t be shy — we want that tropical flavor to sing! 🎵
  4. 4Add a slice de queso blanco on top de the jelly. If you prefer it slightly melty, toss it under a broiler para 1–2 minutes.
  5. 5Top con the other half de the bun y press gently.
  6. 6Dust con powdered sugar like it’s snowing on the island ⛱️❄️.
  7. 7sirve immediately con a smile y maybe a cold glass de pineapple juice 🍍🥤.
